Beethoven's Wig

play Blow Blow Blow (Ballet: Neapolitan Dance from Swan Lake)

from Beethoven's Wig 4: Dance Along Symphonies

Blow Blow Blow
By Richard Perlmutter

Here’s a melody from Swan Lake
It’s a trumpet player’s big break
’Cause he gets to play the whole way
While the dancers do their ballet
But it’s still the same old story
All the dancers get the glory
While they’re out there tippy-toeing
We forget the trumpet’s blowing
But do not cry
’Cause a trumpet never says die
And he never lets a chance pass
To show everyone who’s top brass
And in this song
He is gonna finish up strong
’Cause Tchaikovsky wrote this piece so
He could really steal the show
He starts off slowly he’s demonstrating
His ability, agility, virility
We see the possibility he’s got the capability
To play it even faster than a vivacissimo
He then proceeds accelerating
The velocity, precocity, verbosity
We see his virtuosity, ferocity, pomposity
Oh he can really blow
So blow, blow, blow, blow, blow, star of the show!
