Beethoven's Wig Family Show TEST FINAL
Dear Presenter:
Over the past seven years Beethoven's Wig has been one of the most successful groups in family entertainment. I am very pleased to announce that my company Artspromo/Jaime Campbell Morton (Matt Haimovitz, Chiara String Quartet) will be overseeing management/PR for this project.
Created by lyricist, lead vocalist and producer Richard Perlmutter, Beethoven's Wig is zany lyrics set to the greatest hits of classical music. Filled with fact and fancy about the world's greatest composers and their compositions, Beethoven's Wig opens the door to "serious music" and provides a foundation for classical music that will last a lifetime.
Each Beethoven's Wig concert is an interactive adventure. Richard Perlmutter gets the audience into the act by encouraging them to sing along, dance the Can Can, and answer some classical music trivia questions. Entertaining anecdotes are woven throughout the performance.
Winner of 4 Grammy Nominations, they've appeared on NPR and NBC's Today Show, and been featured artists with professional and university orchestras all across the country. Sell outs have included Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and many PAC's across the US.
Beethoven's Wig offers several show variations and pricing options:
Symphony Orchestra Show
When Richard Perlmutter and his group of fours singers perform with symphony orchestras, Beethoven's Wig provides the conductor's score and all the parts. One two-hour rehearsal is required either the day of the performance or the day before. Beethoven's Wig can provide a conductor upon request.
When No Orchestra is Available
Beethoven's Wig has their own pianist who accompanies them when no orchestra is available. The repertoire draws upon Beethoven's Wig works that feature lyrics set to great piano masterpieces, and piano reductions of selected orchestral works. At these performances additional instruments may be included.
Other Appearance Options
When a piano is not available, Beethoven's Wig performs to a CD that contains orchestral background tracks of its works. The repertoire is the same as for orchestral performances. In addition, Beethoven's Wig does a limited number of performances with a scaled back group featuring Richard and two singers.
Master class
Beethoven's Wig offers master classes in singing and songwriting for elementary school children and high school and college students. The classes are taught by Beethoven's Wig lyricist and featured vocalist Richard Perlmutter, and by each of the groups four singers, who have had distinguished careers as soloists with major opera companies, and have toured and recorded with artists including Elton John, The Beach Boys, Barbra Streisand, and Barry Manilow.
If you haven't booked Beethoven's Wig or would like to invite them back, I'll be glad to provide you with more details about their show and fees. We include full print PR support and Viral Marketing with each show.
