The great composer Schubert
Once went fishing for a trout
He threw his lucky line in
He hoped he would pull one out
A tug came from the water
Schubert reeled in his string
A big surprise was waiting
A fish who began to sing
There is music in the river
There is music in the sea
Listen you can hear it
Sing along with me
The great composer Schubert
Wondered oh what should he do
Should he just let that fish go
Or toss it into a stew
But Schubert was enchanted
By the fish’s melody
And so he played the piano
While they sang in harmony

Made the trout his lifelong friend
They sang and played together
Right up until the end
This story may sound fishy
